SUBJECT: Imprest Checking Accounts for Recreation and Cultural Affairs
The Cultural Affairs Imprest Checking Account was established for the Community
Centers. The Recreation Imprest Checking Account was established for all
professional services. In the past, several accounting problems were created
by this separation of accounts. The combining of the accounts into one will
improve administrative supervision and control .
This resolution amends Resolutions 79-15998, 79-15823. The following are the
changes:
1 . Compressing two accounts $3,000. each to one account $6,000.
2. Raising the amount authorized for each Recreation check from
$200. to $250.
3. Change in City personnel who will have authority to sign checks to:
a. John I. Phillips
b. Daniel A. Zinn
c. Larry Herring
d. Joseph N. Sumrall
RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends that compressing of Cultural
Affairs into the Recreation Account be approved.
