A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH ACCEPTING AN INTER-
GOVERNMENTAL PERSONNEL GRANT FOR A SAFETY
TRAINING/LOSS PREVENTION PROGRAM FUNDED BY
THE U.S. CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION WITH
CERTAIN IN-KIND MATCHING CITY FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has applied for an
intergovernmental Personnel Grant with the U.S. Civil Service Com-
mission for the funding of a Safety Training/Loss Prevention Program
and,
WHEREAS, the U.S. Civil Service Commission has approved
said application, as referenced by letter dated November 16, 1979
addressed to the City Manager.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended acceptance of
the grant and has accepted same pending approval by the City Commis-
sion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that the execution of said Grant acceptance
by the City Manager is hereby ratified and confirmed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED This 16th day of January, 1980.

Personnel Act and on the basis of your final application , an IPA
Grant in the amount of $52 ,781 has been approved for the City of

• identifying number of 80 FL 01-21 , and is part of the Florida
Statewide Grant identified as 80 FL 01 and is effective
November 1 , 1979.
Approval of . this Grant is subject to the representations •
contained in your final application, a copy of which is attached
to this letter; the standard grant conditions set forth i•Z
Attachment Al and the special conditions , if any, set forth in
Attachment B. Before any commitment of funds can be made under
the Intergovernmental Personnel Act , compliance with the
applicable terms and conditions of the Act and this letter of
notification of the grant award must be agreed to by the grantee.
Please indicate your acceptance of these terms and conditions by
signing and returning a completed copy of this grant award letter
to me.

achieving favorable results in this project and to the continuing
