RESOLUTION NO. 80-16287
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF AN AGREEMENT AMENDING LEASE AGREEMENT WITH
DADE COUNTY TO PROVIDE FOR RELOCATION OF
NEIGHBORHOOD GARDEN TRASH TRANSFER STATION.
WHEREAS, for the reasons more particularly set forth
in Commission Memorandum No. 8243 , the City Commission of the
City of Miami Beach finds it in the best interest of said City to
enter into an agreement for the purpose of amending the Agreement
passed and adopted by the Miami Beach City Commission on January 5,
1972, authorizing the lease of vacant Land, more particularly
described in the Agreement for the use as a Neighborhood Garden
Trash Transfer Station by the Waste Division of the Dade County
Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended to the City
Commission that said Amendatory Agreement be entered into; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it in the best interest
of the City and its residents to enter into said Amendatory Agreement,
thereby authorizing the relocation of the Neighborhood Garden Trash
Transfer Station;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute and
deliver said Amendment to said Agreement for and in the name of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida.

SUBJECT: Amendment to the Lease Agreement for Part of Ojus Dump
for use as a Neighborhood Garden Trash Transfer Station
by Metropolitan Dade County
Metro Dade County has leased a portion of the City-owned property
at Ojus since January5 , 1972 for a Neighborhood Garden Trash Transfer
Station. The area consists of approximately
� • .53 acres and is located
as shown on the attached map. The County has requested that they be
allowed to relocate the site so that it could be properly landscaped
and certain improvements made to make the site more compatible with
the area.
The Administration has reviewed the request and since the County
has agreed to pave the entrance road, provide security to the area,

TheAttorney
Cityhas reviewed the request by the County to amend
the lease to allow for the relocation and advises that if the
Commission desires , they can authorize the amendment .
The Administration recommends that the Commission pass the attached
resolution authorizingthe amendment to the lease allowing Dade
County to relocate the neighborhood garden trash transfer station
as indicated on the attached sketch.
