Resolution 80-16477 RESOLUTION NO. 80-16477 A RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARING ON RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891 REGARDING DEFINITIONS, GENERAL ZONING REGULATIONS, AND SPECIFIC ZONING REGULATIONS FOR PARTICULAR ZONING DISTRICTS. WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, at a Public Hearing held on May 29th, 1980, approved proposed amendments to the City' s Zoning Ordinance No. 1891, concerning: general rules of contruction concerning the word Lot; definitions; permitted uses in the C-3 Central Business District; garage and mechanical service in the C-6 Intensive Commercial District; side yards for public and semi-public buildings; parking in the front yards; general sign regulations; and application withdrawal before the Planning Board; and WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, at a Public Hearing held on September 4th, 1980, approved proposed amendments to the City' s Zoning Ordinance No. 1891, regarding: definitions; compliance with regulations; deletion of special density treatment for hotels and motels in certain districts; the addition of retail meat and fish markets as permitted uses in the C-4 Business District; the addition of storage garages, automobile and truck storage and retail meat and fish markets in the C-5 General Business District; supplementary yard regulations concerning swimming pools, hot tubs, showers, whirlpools, swimming pool equipment, decks and marine structures; off street parking requirements for dormitories; off street parking and loading requirements for apartment buildings, apartment hotels, hotels and motels; design standards regarding loca- tion of loading spaces; Board of Adjustment powers and duties; Board of Adjustment proceedings; and WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, at a Public Hearing held on September 25th, 1980 , approved proposed amendments to the City' s Zoning Ordinance No. 1891, regarding: definitions of sleeping unit, parking space-off-street, swimming pool-commercial; permitted uses in the RM-60 Multiple Family Density District regarding churches, synagogues, temples and schools; permitted uses in the RM-100 Multiple Family Medium High Density District regarding churches, schools and synagogues; permitted uses in the RM-125 Multiple Family High Density District concerning churches, and schools; procedures for handling conditional uses; allowable encroachments in yard regulations; off-street parking requirements regarding compact cars; design standards concerning size of parking spaces; non-conforming use to include structures, equipment and fixtures; Planning Board composition, powers and duties; and WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly transmitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16 of said Ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for the consideration of the said proposed amendments to said Zoning Ordinance is hereby called to be held before the City Commission in its Chambers one of two OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY - 1700 CONVENTION CENTER DRIVE-MIAMI BEACH,FLORIDA 33139 w • on the Third Floor of City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida beginning at 2 : 30 PM on the 17 day of December , 1980, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish appropriate Public Notice of said Public Hearing to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all interested parties will be heard.
