A RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARINGS AS FOLLOWS:
(1) TO CONSIDER THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD
THAT BLOCKS 21, 22 AND 23, ALTOS DEL MAR NO. 1, SUB-
DIVISION AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 30, PAGE 4, PUBLIC
RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, (WEST SIDE OF COLLINS
AVENUE BETWEEN 76TH STREET AND 79TH STREET), BE EXCLUDED
FROM THE RS-4 SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT AND BE INCLUDED IN
THE RM-60 MULTIPLE FAMILY MEDIUM DENSITY DISTRICT,
AND
(2) TO CONSIDER AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH SO AS TO CHANGE THE DESIGNATED
FUTURE LAND USE OF SAID SUBJECT PROPERTY FROM RECREATION
AND OPEN SPACE TO RESIDENTIAL.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, following a public
hearing held on March 26, 1981, recommended a change of zoning on property known
as BLOCKS 21, 22, and 23, ALTOS DEL MAR SUBDIVISION NO. 1, as recorded in
Plat Book 30, page 4, Public Records of Dade County, Florida, (West side of
Collins Avenue between 76th Street and 79th Street) from RS-4 Single Family
District to RM-60 Multiple Family Medium Density District, and
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly transmitted to the
City Commission pursuant to Section 16 of Zoning Ordinance No. 1891; and
WHEREAS, all zoning changes must be consistent with the recommendations of
the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the formal amendment process of the Comprehensive Plan requires
that the City Commission hold a public hearing on the proposed amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that the following public hearings be held before the City Com-
mission in the Commission Chambers, 3rd floor, City Hall, 1700 Convention Center
Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, to consider the Comprehensive Plan amendment, and
the proposed change of zoning:
MAY 20, 1981 4:00 P.M. To consider a proposed ordinance amending
the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Miami
Beach so as to change the designated future
land use of the subject property from
Recreation and Open Space to Residential.
MAY 20, 1981 4:15 P.M. To consider the Planning Board recommenda-
tion to change the zoning of Blocks 21, 22
and 23, Altos Del Mar No. 1 Subdivision
Plat Book 30, Page 4, Public Records of Dade
County, Florida, (West side of Collins Avenue
between 76th and 79th Streets) from RS-4
Single Family District, to RM-60 Multiple
Family Medium Density District.
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall notify by mail each real property
owner whose land is affected by the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan
as to said hearing, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to publish appropriate notice of said zoning hearing and Comprehensive Plan Amend-
ment hearing in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami Beach,
at which time all interested parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of April, 1981.
