As previously stated, the purpose of this solicitation is to create a pool of firms with multidisciplinary experience in economic development studies. Having a pool of experienced firms will assist the City in expediting the studies and work needed to advance the economic development goals of the City Commission. For this reason, it is important to assure that the firms selected for the pool are well qualified and ready to respond to the needs of the City.As such, I concur with the Evaluation Committee's ranking of: Lambert Advisory LLC, as the first ranked proposer; The Corradino Group, Inc., as the second ranked proposer Daedalus Capital LLC, as the third ranked proposer; and Willdan Financial Services, Inc., as the fourth ranked proposer. I also concur with the Committee in its determination that Hailstone Economic, LLC, the fifth ranked firm among the five responsive firms, did not demonstrate that it has the experience and familiarity with the challenges faced by a city or coastal community similar to Miami Beach. Therefore, I recommend that the Mayor and City Commission approve the Resolution authorizing the Administration to enter into simultaneous negotiations, in order to establish a pool of pre-qualified consultants, with the following firms: Lambert Advisory LLC, as the first ranked proposer; The Corradino Group, Inc., as the second ranked proposer, Daedalus Capital LLC, as the third ranked proposer, and Willdan Financial Services, Inc. as the fourth ranked proposer.
