RESOLUTION 83-17537 RESOLUTION NUMBER 83-17537 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT EMERGENCY JOBS BILL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $537,000 FOR FIRE FACILITIES RENOVATION AND LOCAL OPTION FUNDS. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is authorized by Commission Memorandum Number 5467 dated January 21, 1976, to prepare an application for Community Development Block Grant funds and to design and implement such systems as are necessary to insure that the Community Development Program is developed, conducted and administered in accordance with Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, and any Federal regulations promulgated there under, as well as applicable state and local authority, and in such capacity is authorized to enter into and execute agreements with other departments and agencies with the City; and WHEREAS, The City Commission has authorized by Resolution ##83-x17.366 dated June 1, 1983, the allocation of Community Development Block Grant Funds under the Emergency Jobs Bill Program in the amount of $514,307 for Fire Facilities Renovation and Modernization at Stations 112 and 114, and $22,693 for Local Option funds under the Community Development Program; and WHEREAS, on September 22, 1983 the City received release of Emergency Jobs Bill funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. NOW, THEREFORE be it duly resolved by the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that a Community Development Block Grant Emergency Jobs Bill Fund be established in the amount of $537,000 for the operation of this program.
