A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO AMEND THE
CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN SO AS TO EXCLUDE CERTAIN
PARCEL OF LAND FROM THE SINGLE FAMILY ZONING
DESIGNATION AND INCLUDE SAME IN THE
PUBLIC/INSTITUTIONAL DESIGNATION; AND, TO APPROVE A
CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION TO LOCATE A 22 SPACE
PARKING LOT ON SAID PROPERTY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach at a Public Hearing
held on October 23, 1984, approved a Conditional Use application to locate a 22 space
parking lot at 4200 Pine Tree Drive; and, an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan
designating the property as Public/Institutional. The legal description of the property
is as follows:
Lot 1, Block 2, Orchard Subdivision No. 4, as recorded in Plat Book 25,
Page 30 of the Public Record of Dade County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, Florida Statute (FS.163.3194(1)) requires that all land development
regulations enacted or amended shall be consistent with the adopted Comprehensive
Plan or element or portion thereof; and,
WHEREAS, a change of land use classification on the Future Land Use Map of
the Miami Beach Comprehensive Plan is required to reassign the subject property
Single Family classification to Public/Institutional classification; and,
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly transmitted to the
City Commission pursuant to Section 16. Changes and Amendments of Zoning
Ordinance No. 1891.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for the consideration
of the aforementioned proposed change of land use classification, is hereby called to
be held before the City Commission, at its Chamber on the Third Floor of City Hall,
1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, beginning at 3:30 p.m. on
the 19 day of, _ December _ 1984 and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to publish appropriate Public Notice of said Public Hearing to be published in
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time and
place all interested parties will be heard.
