SUBJECT: Recommended R-vision in Youth Center Fees forIce Skating, Bowling,
Skate/Shoe Rental, and Day (Guest) Passes; and Establishing a Special Revenue
Account and Appropriation for Same
The July, 1984, interim report of the Mayor's Ad-Hoc Youth Center Committee had
recommended a revision of fees for ice skating (per two-hour session), bowling (per game), ice
skate rental, bowling shoe rental, and day (guest) passes. When the new memberships were
approved during the budget process, these fee increases were omitted.
The Youth Center Advisory Committee, at its November 8, 1984 meeting, has requested these
new fees be approved so they may be implemented as quickly as possible. Budget revenues for
FY 84-85 included these new fees. Proposed and present fee schedules are attached.
Additionally, the Youth Center Committee, with the approval of the Administration, requests
the establishment of a Special Revenue Account for these funds and an appropriation of $4,000
for FY 84-85.
These Special Revenue Account funds will be utilized for replacement of ice skates, ::tc:wiit4_
shoes, and bowling balls.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the Resolution increasing the user fees for
ice skate rental, bowling shoe rental, and day (guest) passes as recommended; also,
recommendation is made to approve the establishment of a Special Revenue Account for these
funds as well as the appropriation of same ($4,000).
