A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF LEASE AGREEMENT
WITH RELIABLE, INC. FOR USE OF NORTHEAST CORNER OF FOURTH
STREET AND ALTON ROAD FOR A ONE-YEAR PERIOD.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida did on the
20th day of April, 1983 pass and adopt Resolution No. 83-17325 authorizing execution of lease
agreement with Reliable, Inc. for use of Northeast Corner of Fourth Street and Alton Road for
a one-year period.
Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, OCEAN BEACH ADDITION NO. 3 RESUBDIVISION,
according to the Plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 26 at Page 62
of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida
for the purpose of storage of rental vehicles and for no other purpose whatsoever; and
WHEREAS, a monthly rental in the amount of $420.00 per month, or $5,040.00 per
annum, has been agreed upon, and said rental payment would represent a fair return
to the City of Miami Beach, i.e., twelve (12°x) percent of current assessed value of
the property; and
WHEREAS, the term of the extension will be for one year, with an option to renew
for one term, and it is anticipated that Reliable, Inc. will abide by all the terms and
conditions of the Lease, and
WHEREAS, the lease will contain a thirty (30) day cancellation cause, thus enabling
the City to make other use of the property within a short period of time; and
WHEREAS, an appropriate lease agreement has been prepared by the City Attorney
and approved as to form by the City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, THE City Commission has been advised of and is familar with the terms
and provisions of the said lease agreement and deems it to be in the best interest of
the City to authorize the execution of the said lease agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-described lease agreement on
behalf of the City, and that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
carry into effect the terms and provisions undertaken therein by the City.
