A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO AMEND
ORDINANCE NO. 1891, THE SAME BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE
ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS TO (1) REVISE SECTION 3 BY
REDEFINING THE DEFINITION FOR THE TERM 'FILLING
STATION'; AND (2) AMEND SECTIONS 6 and 29 PERTAINING TO
THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN FILLING STATIONS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT,
WHEREAS, the Planning Board held a public hearing on March 27, 1985 and
April 30, 1985, for consideration of amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1891, the same being
the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, so as to amend Section 3 by redefining "Filling
Station" and to amend Sections 6 and 29 pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages in
filling stations; and
WHEREAS, at the conclusion of said public hearing, the Planning Board
recommended that the City Commission amend the Zoning Ordinance by redefining "Filling
Station" and the sale of beer and wine in certain instances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for consideration of the
aforementioned proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is hereby called to be held
before the City Commission in its chambers on the Third Floor of City Hall,
1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, beginning at 2:30 p.m. on the 19th
day of June , 1985, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish
appropriate Public Notice of said Public Hearing to be published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all interested parties will be
heard.
