RESOLUTION 85-18119 RESOLUTION NO. 85-18119 A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 85-18086 WHICH MAKES CERTAIN FINDINGS CONCERNING APPROPRIATIONS TO FUND LABOR AGREEMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1985-86, TO PROVIDE THAT SALARIES OF ALL CITY EMPLOYEES NOT COVERED BY A BARGAINING AGREEMENT BE REDUCED BY FIVE (5%) PERCENT, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 1985, AND RESCINDING THAT PORTION OF SAID RESOLUTION WHICH REDUCED SALARIES OF SUCH EMPLOYEES NOT COVERED BY A BARGAINING UNIT EARNING $50,000 OR MORE ANNUALLY BY 10%. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, on June 5, 1985, adopted Resolution No. 85-18086, making certain findings, concerning appropriations to fund labor agreements for the fiscal year 1985-86, and giving the City Manager directions as to implementation of items covered thereby, and WHEREAS, a section of such direction provided that all City Employees' salaries not covered by a bargaining unit would be reduced by 5% effective October 1, 1985, and all City Employees who earn more than $50,000 annually, would be reduced by 10% effective October 1, 1985; and WHEREAS, on June 26, 1985, the City Commission discussed the action taken at the June 5, 1985, meeting with respect to reducing the salaries of City Employees earning $50,000 or more by 10% effective October 1, 1985, and determined that such reduction should be changed to 5% instead of 10%; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: That Direction 3 to the City Manager as stated in Resolution No. 85-18086 be amended therefore to read as follows: "3. Reduce the salaries of all City employees not covered by a collective bargaining unit by 5%, effective October 1, 1985". PASSED and ADOPTED this 26th day of June, 1985.
