A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THAT
CONGRESSMAN CLAUDE PEPPER INTERCEDE ON BEHALF
OF MIAMI BEACH CITIZENS WITH THE UNITED STATES
POSTAL SERVICE TO PROVIDE CONTRACT POSTAL
UNITS ON MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, the United States Postal Service has provided
twenty-six contract postal units throughout Dade County; and
WHEREAS, none of these units am nn Miami Rearm?.; and

WHEREAS, the citizens of Miami Beach, particularly the
elderly, are required to wait in long lines in the Post Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, requests that Congressman
Claude Pepper intercede on behalf of Miami Beach citizens with
the United States Postal Service to provide contract postal units
on Miami Beach.
