A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ESTABLISH A NEW CHARGE CODE IN
SPECIAL REVENUE FUND 199, TO OPERATE A PROGRAM
FOR TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE, IF FUNDS ARE
GRANTED BY THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY
AFFAIRS, THROUGH THE COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK
GRANT PROGRAM, AND TO APPROPRIATE SUCH FUNDS
WHEN AVAILABLE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends that the City apply for
Grant monies from the Florida Department of Community Affairs for Transportation
Assistance; and
WHEREAS, a Special Revenue Account is required to be established to
facilitate the program if the City is awarded the Grant; and
WHEREAS, it is essential that the funds received by the City be
appropriated for the programs approved by the State through the Community Services
Block Grant Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to establish a new Charge Code in Special Revenue Fund 199, to be used to
operate the Transportation Assistance Program, if the funds are granted by the State
of Florida, and to appropriate such funds when received.
