A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY FOR THE
USE OF HALLS C & D IN THE STEPHEN MUSS CONVENTION
CENTER JULY 18-26, 1990.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit:
HALLS C & D IN THE STEPHEN MUSS CONVENTION CENTER
on
JULY 18-26, 1990
for the event known as
DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY CONVENTION
AND WHEREAS, an appropriate lease agreement has been prepared
by the Stephen Muss Convention Center Director and approved as to
form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised of and is familiar
with the terms and provisions of the said lease agreement and deems
it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize the
execution of the said lease agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described lease agreement on behalf of the City, and that the
Stephen Muss Convention Center Director be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to carry into effect the terms and
provisions undertaken therein by the City.

guarantee of $18,000.00, plus Florida State Rental Tax,
which is currently 6%.

$18,000. 00 minimum guarantee, based on $4,500.00 per day,
plus Florida State Rental Tax, which is currently 6%.
RATE: COMMISSION APPROVED
ADDITIONAL NONE
CHARGES:
ADMINISTRATION Approve contract with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority for payment
RECOMMENDATION: of 55 per square foot net exhibit space used with a minimum
guarantee of $18,000.00, plus Florida State Rental Tax, which
is currently 6% in Hal 1 C.
$18,000. 00 minimum guarantee, based on $14,500.00 per day
plus Florida State Rental Tax of 6% in Hal 1 D.

accordance with all City regulations.
I concur with the terms of this lease and
recommend its approval.
