SUBJECT: REQUEST TO RE 'EAL PUBLIC HEARING PERTAINING TO EXTENSIONS
OF TIME FOR ADULT CONGREGATE LIVING FACILITY (ACLF)
BACKGROUND
July 26, 1989 Planning Board includes language in the
proposed Zoning Ordinance pertaining to the
extension of time for Adult Congregate Living
Facilities.
Aug. 31, 1989 Zoning Ordinance Review Committee approves
amendment to the proposed Zoning Ordinance.
PLANNING BOARD ACTION
In recognition of the Commission' s concerns toward applicants who
obtain extensions of time but do not build, the Planning Board
recommended an amendment to the proposed Zoning Ordinance which
creates specific time limitations for an ACLF to obtain a Building
Permit and an Occupational License. The Planning Board felt that
the new language in the proposed Zoning Ordinance addressed the
City Commission' s concerns regarding extensions of time.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Commission not hold a Public
Hearing regarding this matter by repealing Resolution No. 89-19693 .
