A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C0MMISSI0N OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF $250,185 FROM
DESIGNATED GENERAL TRUST FUNDS TO PAY COSTS RELATED TO THE
MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER EXPANSION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is desirous of completing the
Miami Beach Convention Center Expansion; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is desirous of providing for
the following items in conjunction with the expansion of the Miami Beach
Convention Center: payment of bond issuance costs related to the
November 29, 1989 issuance of Convention Center Completion Bonds as well
as other identified costs relating to the change of name on the Center
and a proposed parking study; and
WHEREAS, it has been estimated these items will require an
expenditure of $250,185; and
WHEREAS, the Tourist and Convention Center Expansion Authority
has reviewed these items and has approved of the appropriation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach Commission
appropriates $250,185 from designated General Trust Funds of the City. To
pay costs related to the Miami Beach Convention Center Expansion Project.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of January , 1990

OF THE CITY FOR COSTS RELATED TO THE PROJECT
On December 19, 1989, The Tourist & Convention Center Expansion Authority
authorized the City to pay the following expenses out of the $732,219 held
in the City's General Trust Fund:
Shearson Lehman Hutton - Financial Advisory Fees -
Sale of $8,000,000 Completion Bonds $ 15,000
Greenberg Traurig, Hoffman, Lipoff, Rosen & Quentel , P.A.
Bond Counsel Services for $8,000,000 Completion Bonds 41,000
Greater Miami Convention and Visitor's Bureau -
Costs Related to Name Change (Deleting Stephen Muss) 150,000
Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. -
Parking Study to be Performed 44,185
Total Authorized on December 19, 1989 $250,185
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends that the City Commission authorize the expenditures
listed from the $732,219 held in the City's General Trust Fund, representing
Convention Development Tax collected prior to the December 1 , 1985 sale of Dade
County Special Obligation Bonds (Miami Beach Convention Center Project) .
