A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO INCREASE THE SCOPE OF SERVICES
OF THE CONVENTION CENTER EXPANSION PROJECT
ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
CITY AND BORRELLI-FRANKEL-BLITSTEIN, A JOINT
VENTURE, AND THOMPSON, VENTULETT, STAINBACK &
ASSOCIATES, INC. , TO ALLOW FOR AN EXTENSION OF
SERVICES THROUGH MAY 1990 AT A LUMP SUM COST
OF $223,000 TO BE FUNDED OUT OF BOND FUND NO.
358.
WHEREAS, the period for delivery of architectural/engineering
services under the original contract for the Convention Center
Expansion Project that expired on September 1, 1989 ; and,
WHEREAS, the grace period for delivery of
architectural/engineering services expired January 1, 1990; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission has extended services through
January 31, 1990; and,
WHEREAS, funds are available from Bond Fund No. 358 and
appropriated into Work Order No. 2928 .
NOW,
O , TERErORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, hereby authorizes the City
Manager to increase the scope of the Contract between the City of
Miami Beach and Borrelli-Frankel-Blitstein, a Joint Venture, and
Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates, Inc. , in order to
extend services through May, 1990 at a lump sum cost of $223 , 000,
to be funded out of Bond Fund No. 358 .
