RESOLUTION 90-19901 RESOLUTION NO. 90-19901
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, RESOLVING THAT THE
NAMES OF THE MAYOR, VICE-MAYOR, COMMISSIONERS,
FORMER MAYOR AND FORMER COMMISSIONERS BE
ENGRAVED IN A PROMINENT PLACE AT THE RIGHT OF
WAY OF SITE OF THE HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL IN
RECOGNITION OF THEIR GENEROUS ACTION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
WHEREAS, the presidents of the South Florida Survivors
Organizations wish to express their gratitude to the citizens of
Miami Beach, their Mayor Alex Daoud, Vice-Mayor Abe Resnick,
Commissioners Stanley Arkin, Abe Hirschfeld, William Shockett,
Bruce Singer, Martin Shapiro and former Mayor Malcolm Fromberg and
former Commissioners Ben Grenald and Sidney Weisburd for donating
a portion of the City' s most beautiful and valuable property for
the construction of the most impressive Holocaust Memorial in the
United States.
WHEREAS, the presidents of the South Florida Survivors
Organization wish to express their gratitude by requesting that the
names of the above-mentioned Mayor, Vice-Mayor, Commissioners,
former Mayor and former Commissioners be engraved in a prominent
place at the site of the Holocaust Memorial in recognition of their
generous action.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA THAT the names of Mayor Alex
Daoud, Vice-Mayor Abe Resnick, Commissioners Stanley Arkin, Abe
Hirschfeld, William Shockett, Bruce Singer, Martin Shapiro, former
Mayor Malcolm Fromberg, former Commissioners Ben Grenald and Sidney
Weisburd be engraved in a prominent place at the right of way of
site of the Holocaust Memorial in memory of their generous action.
