A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A
RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMIT AREA IN
THE AREA BOUNDED ON THE SOUTH BY THE
CENTERLINE OF FIFTH STREET, ON THE
NORTH BY THE NORTHERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY
LINE OF FIFTEENTH STREET, ON THE WEST
BY THE CENTERLINE OF COLLINS AVENUE
AND ON THE EAST BY THE EASTERLY
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF OCEAN DRIVE, AS
REQUIRED BY ORDINANCE NO. 90-2690.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has enacted Ordinance No. 90-2690
authorizing the creation of residential parking permit areas in the
City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager wishes the City Commission to
consider the area bounded on the South by the centerline of Fifth
Street, on the North by the northerly right-of-way line of
Fifteenth Street, on the West by the centerline of Collins Avenue
and on the East by the easterly right-of-way line of Ocean Drive
for a residential parking permit program; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 90-2690 requires a public hearing by
the City Commission prior to the establishment of any specific area
as a residential parking permit area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
A public hearing is hereby set for 5: 00 PM,
June 6, 1990, in the Commission Chambers at
City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami
Beach, for the purpose of obtaining input from
residents of the affected area and establishing
a fee, if any, for the permits.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 9th day of May 1990.
