On September 10, 2003, the Miami Beach City Commission passed Resolution Number
2003-25341 (attached), expressing opposition to the increase in the wholesale water and
sewer rates and encouraging the maintenance of the current rates through operational
efficiencies and the examination of potential advantages of the privatization of Miami-Dade
County's water and sewer treatment operation.
