A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING IN
CONCEPT AN AGREEMENT WITH KURT SCHWEIZER and
MARGARITA RADEMACHER WHEREBY THE CITY WILL
CONVEY ITS FEE SIMPLE INTEREST IN THE PARKING
LOT LOCATED AT 27TH STREET AND COLLINS AVENUE
IN RETURN FOR $1.394 MILLION, THE CONSTRUCTION
OF 55 MUNICIPAL PARKING SPACES AND A 99-YEAR
LEASE FOR THE PARKING SPACES; AND SETTING A
PUBLIC HEARING FOR 3:00 P .M. ON
OCTOBER 23, 19 91, FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING
INPUT FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING DECLARING THE
PARKING LOT AT 27TH STREET AND COLLINS AVENUE
A SURPLUS PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is the owner in fee simple of
the parking lot located at 27th Street and Collins Avenue in Miami
Beach, the legal description of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
"A" (the "City Property") ; and
WHEREAS, KURT SCHWEIZER and MARGARITA RADEMACHER are the
owners of the property immediately to the south of the City
Property and they plan to build a 220 unit hotel/condominium
project and would like to purchase the City Property for the
purpose of providing structured parking for their project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach wishes to express its
agreement in concept with conveying its fee simple interest in the
City Property to KURT SCHWEIZER and MARGARITA RADEMACHER in return
for:
- $1. 394 million to be paid to the City at closing
the Purchasers ' construction of 55 municipal parking
spaces on the ground level of the City Property
the Purchasers grant the City a 99-year lease for the
municipal parking spaces.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
1) The City of Miami Beach hereby approves in concept an
agreement with KURT SCHWEIZER and MARGARITA RADEMACHER
whereby the City would convey its fee simple interest in
the City Property to KURT SCHWEIZER and MARGARITA

RADEMACHER in return for:
$1. 394 million to be paid to the City at closing
the Purchasers ' construction of 55 municipal
parking spaces on the ground level of the City
Property
- the Purchasers grant the City a 99-year lease for
the municipal parking spaces.
2) A public hearing is hereby set for 3:00 P .m. on
October 23 , 1991, in the City Commission Chambers at City
Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, for the
purpose of receiving input from the public regarding
declaring the parking lot at 27th Street and Collins
Avenue a surplus property.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 25th day of September 1991.
