ACTIVITY:
Reviews CDBG and ESG applications for federal funds related to housing and community
development. Funds are to be used in the designated target areas where at least 51% of the
residents are Iow or moderate income persons. In addition, the Committee considers all
substantive amendments to the Consolidated Plan and/or Action Plan. As part of the citizen
Participation process, all substantive amendments are publicly advertised and, when necessary,
Public Hearings/meetings are held to receive public comments. Committee also approves the
Intended use of HOME program funds as related to affordable housing.

ACCOi~IPLISHlqENTS:
The Community Development Advisory Committee came to a mutual agreement with
staff and the City Manager to present one set of funding recommendations to the City
Commission on May 19, 2003. The funding recommendations will go before the City
Commission for final approval on July 30, 2003. A public hearing on the proposed
funding recommendations was held June 17, 2003, in Commission Chambers.
