A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,PROVIDING FOR THE 1ST
AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION NO. 91-20366, FOR THE
POLICE TRAINING TRUST FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1991/92 ,
INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $40,000 . 00, TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR (1) AMMUNITION ($22 ,000) ;
(2) SCHOOLS/SEMINARS/WORKSHOPS ($16,000) ; (3)
CROSS CULTURAL/SENSITIVITY PROGRAM ($2 ,000) .
BE IT RESOLVED T-17 THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes Section 943 . 25 (13) Criminal
Justice Trust Fund, provides for funds from authorized assessments
of additional court costs in criminal proceedings, be made
available to the law enforcement agency for the implementation of
training programs ; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that such funds will be
available for FY 91/92 in the Criminal Justice Training Trust
Fund, amounting to $40, 000 ; such funds being generated from court
costs from criminal proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, hereby adopts the proposed amendment
to the operating budget for the Police Training Trust Fund, a true
and correct listing of which is included and incorporated herein
by reference, and monies therein be and same are hereby
appropriated, as follows (Exhibit 1) :

hereby certify that the aforementioned proposed request for
expenditures from the City of Miami Beach Police Training Trust
Fund, for the 1991/92 fiscal year to provide funds for the
education of police personnel at various schools, conferences, and
workshops, and for the purchase of training/operational supplies
(i . e. , ammunition) is in accordance with guidelines established by
the Division of Criminal Justice Standards and Training, as
provided by F. S . S . 943 . 25 (13) .

SUBJECT: POLICE TRAINING TRUST FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1991/92
The Administration requests permission to amend the operating
budget of the Police Training Trust Fund for fiscal year 1991/92
to increase appropriations by $40, 000. 00 to provide funds for the
education of police personnel at various schools, conferences, and
workshops, and for the purchase of training/operational supplies
(i.e. , ammunition) in accordance with guidelines established by
the Division of Criminal Justice Standards and Training, as
provided by F.S.S. 943 . 25 (13) ; the source of such funds being
court costs from criminal proceedings. The additional
appropriation will increase the Police Training Trust Fund budget
to a total of $45, 000. 00 for the fiscal year 1991/92 .
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends that the City Commission amend the
operating budget for the Police Training Trust Fund.
