SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AS A CO-SPONSOR OF THE MT.
SINAI INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION FACILITY.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission adopt a resolution to approve the City of
Miami Beach as a co-sponsor of the Mount Sinai Medical Center
Intermodal Transportation Facility and to direct the Administration
to bring back all implementing documents to the City Commission.
BACKGROUND:
Mount Sinai Medical Center has applied for and received federal
funding approval in the amount of $3, 000, 000 to construct an
Intermodal Transportation Facility on the medical center campus.
(See attached plan. )
The hospital has asked the City to become a co-sponsor of this
project, so that release of funds can be facilitated through the
County. (See attached September 30, 1992, letter. )
ANALYSIS:
There is no cost to the City and once actual plans are formulated
and refined, they will be presented to the City Commission, along
with any implementing documents.
CONCLUSION
The City Commission needs to adopt a Resolution to allow the City
of Miami Beach to become a co-sponsor of the Mt. Sinai Intermodal
Transportation Facility and to have the Administration return all
implementing documents to the City Commission for their approval.
