Join the Climate Change Conversation: How Miami Beach is Rising Above
– Tuesday, May 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. –
WHO/WHAT: The City of Miami Beach will be hosting a panel discussion to kick off its
special edition of MB magazine on Tuesday, May 28 from 6:30 p.m. to
7:30 p.m. at the Colony Theatre.
Taking readers through a journey of resilience — from its key role
historically to the city’s broad vision of the future, this special issue
highlights Miami Beach’s efforts in adapting to climate change and
educates residents on how they can adopt their own sustainable lifestyle.
At the event, attendees will have an opportunity to take part in a
conversation moderated by Mayor Dan Gelber and consisting of the
following panelists:
• Jimmy L. Morales, City Manger
• Susanne Torriente, Chief Resilience Officer & Assistant City
Manager
• Eric Carpenter, Assistant City Manager
The event will also be live streamed live on the city’s Facebook page and
YouTube channel.
