Redevelopment Agency adopted regarding a
certain geographic area within the City of
Miami Beach, called City Center/Historic
Convention Village Redevelopment and
Revitalization Area, described generally as
being bounded on the east by the Atlantic
Ocean, on the north by 24th Street, on the
west by West Avenue, and on the south by
14th Lane, adopting a Redevelopment Plan
for said geographic area; accepting
recommendations of the local Planning
Agency of the City of Miami Beach as to the MIAMI BEACH
Redevelopment Plan regarding conformity REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
with the Comprehensive Plan; directing
staff to seek approval of the Redevelopment
Plan by the City Commission of the City of FEB 12 1993
Miami Beach and from the Board of County
Commissioners of Dade County; directing
staff to seek a delegation of certain MEETING
powers from the City Commission of the City
of Miami Beach to the Miami Beach
Redevelopment Agency pursuant to Chapter
163, Part III, Florida Statutes, with full
power to exercise all the powers permitted
by Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes,
which may be delegated by the Board of
County Commissioners of Dade County to the
City Commission of the City of Miami Beach;
directing the implementation of the
Redevelopment Plan, and any amendments
thereto, upon the appropriate adoption
thereof, all for the said City
Center/Historic Convention Village
Redevelopment and Revitalization Area;
providing for severability, and providing
an effective date.

HOW A PERSON MAY APPEAR BEFORE
THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETINGS OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ARE HELD ON THE
FIRST AND THIRD WEDNESDAYS OF EVERY MONTH, COMMENCING AT 10:00 A.M.
1. Roger. M. Carlton has been designated as the Redevelopment Agency's
Executive Director. Richard E. Brown has been designated as the Agency's
Secretary.
2 . Persons requesting placement of an item on the agenda must provide a
written statement to the Agency Executive Director, 4th floor, City Hall,
1700 Convention Center Drive, telephone 673-7811, outlining the subject
matter of their proposed presentation. In order to determine whether or
not the request can be handled administratively, an appointment will be
set up to discuss the matter with a member of the Executive Director's
staff. Procedurally, "Request for Agenda Consideration" will not be
placed upon the Agency agenda until after Administrative staff review.
Such review will ensure that the issue has been addressed in sufficient
detail so that the Agency members may be fully apprised of the matter to
be presented. Persons will be allowed five (5) minutes to make their
presentation and will be limited to those subjects included in their
written request. Such written requests must be received in the Executive
Director's office no later than noon on Tuesday of the week prior to the
scheduled Agency meeting to allow time for processing and inclusion in the
agenda package.
3 . ONCE AN AGENDA FOR AN AGENCY MEETING IS PUBLISHED, and a person wishes to
speak on an item listed on the agenda, he/she may call or come to the
Agency Secretary's Office, 3rd floor, City Hall, 1700 Convention Center
Drive, telephone 673-7411, before 5 :00 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to the
Agency meeting and give his/her name, the agenda item to be discussed and,
where known, the agenda item number.
Copies of the Agency agenda may be reviewed at the Executive Director's
Office on the Monday, after 2 :00 p.m. , prior to the Agency regular
meeting.
The complete agenda, including all backup material, is available for
inspection on the Tuesday prior to the Agency meeting at the Agency
Secretary's Office.
4. All persons who have been listed by the Agency Secretary to speak on the
agenda item in which they are specifically interested, will be allowed up
to three (3) minutes to present their views .
