2. Public Hearing
Redevelopment Agency Memo No. 93-31
Public Hearing held to receive comment on 1-24
the proposed issuance of Tax Increment bonds
(with a secondary Resort Tax revenue pledge) for
the City Center/Historic Convention Village
Redevelopment and Revitalization Area.
Mr. Jay Hirsch advised that United Trust
Fund/Metropolitan Life Insurance Company was
interested in the hotel development project.
140-93 Resolution adopted approving the issuance 24
of Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency Tax Increment
Revenue Bonds in an amount not to exceed
$25,000,000, in accordance with the requirement
of Section 147 (f) of the Internal Revenue Code
of 1986, as amended.
3. New Business (From Addendum)
Redevelopment Agency Memo No. 93-32
141-93 Resolution adopted ratifying the 24-26
retention of the law firms of Greenberg, Traurig,
Hoffman, Lipoff, Rosen & Quentel, P.A. , and
Kubicki Draper, to provide legal services as co-
bond counsel. ($25 million Tax Increment Revenue
Bonds, City Center/Historic Convention Village
Redevelopment and Revitalization Area. ) Mr.
Feingold advised that George Knox, Esq. would be
lead counsel for the Kubicki Draper firm.
