1. Roll Call - Meeting called to order at 9:56 a.m. All 1
Amir members present except Chairman Daoud (arrived at 10:07
a.m.)
2. Acceptance of Minutes of May 24, 1989. 1
3. Report of Executive Director 1
Executive Director submitted oral and written reports:
a) South Pointe Elementary School - The construction
schedule received indicates demolition of old
school shall commence June 5, and be completed by
July 25, 1989. New building construction bid
opening is scheduled for Aug. 8, 1989, and
construction is scheduled to commence on Sept. 1,
1989. (see also 4.b. below)
b) Cobb Development Project - Eminent domain
proceedings have begun and petitions have been
filed against the parcels in Blocks 78 and 80,
OCEAN BEACH ADDITION NO. 3 which have not yet been
acquired for development of the Old Police Station
site project.
c) Tax Increment Financing - A workshop/luncheon will 2
be held at South Shore Hospital on June 16, 1989,
with Dade County administrators and commissioners
concerning this and other issues.
4. Old Business
a. Bi-Weekly Finance Report (Copy of report filed
with records of meeting.)
b. James Damm, Dade County School Board 4-9
representative, and Marcus Frankel, architect
representative, made presentation on new South
Pointe Elementary School.
5. New Business
80-89 a. (add-on)
Resolution adopted directing Executive Director to 2, 9
publi'/' an invitation for proposals soliciting
private redevelopers or any person interested in
undertaking a redevelopment of all the property
located in Block 9, OCEAN BEACH SUBDIVISION, Plat
Book 2, Page 38 Public Records of Dade County,
Florida, consistent with the Miami Beach
Redevelopment Plan and Strategy and the Community
Redevelopment Act; further directing the Executive
Director to publish an intention to acquire and
dispose of such property consistent with the
above.
6. Report of Agency Attorney - Mr. Weiner advised that 10
Summit Group' s purchase of Carner-Mason Associates,
Ltd. interest in marina has been extended to July 27,
1989.
