Executive Director submitted written reports:
a) Old Police Station Site Redevelopment Project -The
process of issuing tax exempt bonds continues.
Closing and receipt of funds are expected to occur
by the end of June. Preliminary design of the
project is scheduled to be presented before the
Design Review Board by Cobb Partners by June 8th.
The Agency is in the process of filing for eminent
domain on various parcels located in Blocks 78 and
80, OCEAN BEACH ADDITION NO. 3.
b) New Floridian Project - The Agency is currently in
discussions with SAGLO Development Corporation
regarding the construction of a high-rise rental
project on the site (540 West Avenue) formerly
occupied by the Biscaya Hotel. A development
agreement is expected shortly. (Also item R-3B
City Commission agenda re rezoning)

a. Bi-Weekly Finance Report (Copy of report filed

79-89 Resolution adopted authorizing acquisition of 10-11
various properties in Blocks 78 and 80, OCEAN
BEACH ADDITION NO. 3, by purchase, donation, or
the filing of eminent domain proceedings and
declaration of taking, as necessary. (Old Police
Station site redevelopment project. Properties
located at: 814 Second St. , 144 Meridian Ave. ,
821 First St. , 843 First St. , 130 Jefferson Ave. ,
146-150 Jefferson Ave. , 131 Alton Rd. , 120-124

b. Redevelopment Agency Memo No. 89-8
Public Hearing held regarding proposed issuance of
tax increment bonds by the Miami Beach
Redevelopment Agency for an amount not to exceed
$7 million. Bond proceeds will be used for
acquisition and clearing of properties in Blocks
78, 80, 53 and 9 (Old Police Station site
redevelopment project) . Upon acquisition and
clearance of the properties, the Agency will sell
the parcel to one or two private developers (Cobb
Partners South Beach, Ltd. , and/or Rumpco, Inc.)
for construction of residential condominium units,
commercial space, and parking facilities. (R-80
