Highly Anticipated Beachwalk Ribbon Cutting
— Creating a Continuous Pedestrian Pathway from South Pointe Park to 79 Street —
WHO/WHAT: Join the City of Miami Beach on Thursday, June 13 at 5 p.m. for a ribbon
cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the long-awaited Phase II
Middle Beach Recreational Corridor project. This milestone marks the
culmination of a continuous pedestrian path from South Pointe Park
through 79 Street, accomplishing a beachwalk that connects North,
Middle and South Beach for the first time in the city’s history.
The ceremony will be followed by an event hosted by the Mid-Beach
Neighborhood Association. Phase III of the project is anticipated to begin
this fall, which will eliminate the original walking path between 23 and 45
streets.
