Requested Amendments to Faena Overlay District Regulations
▪Increase height for new residences from 200’ to 250’
▪Increase front setback for new residences from Collins Avenue from a minimum of 50’ to 75’ as measured to the balcony
▪Relax north and south side yard setbacks to allow renovation of historic Versailles as luxury hotel and recreation of
Gulfstream Dining Room, and to space residential building farther away from the Versailles

Kengo Kuma
Kengo Kuma is a globally acclaimed Japanese architect
who has offices in both Tokyo and Paris. He was selected to
design the Olympic stadium in Japan for the 2020 Olympics
games.
Other key projects include the Suntory Museum of Art in
Tokyo, Bamboo Wall House in China, LVMH (Louis Vuitton
Moet Hennessy) Group's Japan headquarters, Besançon Art
Center in France, and one of the largest spas in the
Caribbean for Mandarin Oriental Dellis Cay.

Jean-Michel Gathy
Jean-Michel Gathy a Belgian national born in 1955, is the
principal designer and personally conceptualizes all design
work since the Company’s inception in 1983. In April 2006,
he was inducted into the “Platinum Circle of Hospitality
Design” and honored as an industry figure whose career and
achievements have contributed to the world of hotel design.
The Company’s projects are also reviewed and applauded
constantly in the professional press and often taken as
reference.
