RESOLUTION NO. 86-18408
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING A $3,000 LOAN FROM
THE GENERAL FUND CONTINGENCY AND $2,000 FROM.
ADDITIONAL REVENUES FROM PARK ACTIVITIES AND
APPROPRIATING THE $5,000 INTO A NEWLY-CREATED CHARGE
CODE IN THE EXISTING PARKS AND RECREATION SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND (2146) AMENDING THE SPECIAL REVENUE FUND
TO REFLECT $849,300.
WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes that the support of a South Pointe
Park Project will provide a positive public image of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, a series of proposed projects have been planned to begin April 4,
1986, which will spotlight and culminate in the City's new South Pointe Park; and
WHEREAS, in the effort to reduce the negative image of the South Pointe area,
these programs have. been planned and will be implemented toward families residing in
Miami Beach and all of Dade County; and
WHEREAS, the success of this program will produce such favorable public
response that future programs will be required, resulting in greater revenues.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Administration is authorized to create
and establish a new charge code in the existing Parks and Recreation Special Revenue Fund;
BE IT ALSO. DULY RESOLVED, that. the Administration is authorized to
appropriate $5,000 into this new charge code, $3,000 of which is a loan from the General
Fund Contingency and $2,000 is from additional revenues from proceeds; thereby, amending
the total Special Revenue Fund to reflect a new total of $849,300.
