RESOLUTION NO. 86-18470
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI BEACH CITY COMMISSION
CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FOR THE ADOPTION OF A NEW ORDINANCE
AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891; PROVIDING FOR AN
AMENDMENT TO THE CONDITIONAL USE PROCEDURES,
AMENDING THE FEE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBSTANTIAL
AMENDEMENTS TO AN APPROVED CONDITIONAL USE AND
ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC
HEARINGS; PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT PERTAINING TO
SIGNS IN SPECIAL CASES; PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT
PERTAINING TO THE PLANNING BOARD PROCEDURES, POWERS
AND DUTIES; AMENDING THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD'S
PROCEDURES AND THE BOARD'S QUORUM REQUIREMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, after a public hearing on
May 27, 1986, recommended to the City Commission that the proposed amendment be
incorporated into the Zoning Ordinance as approved and recommended by said Board, said
Ordinance being entitled as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE NO.
1891; PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 7
AMENDING THE CONDITIONAL USE PROCEDURES,
EXTENTION OF TIME AND THE PROCEDURE FOR MINOR
AMENDMENTS TO APPROVED CONDITIONAL USES;
CREATING PROCEDURES FOR ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW
OF MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS AND USES; AMENDING THE FEE
REQUIREMENT FOR A SUBSTANTAL AMENDMENT TO AN
APPROVED CONDITIONAL USE AND PROVIDING FOR A FEE
REQUIREMENT FOR A CONTINUATION OF A HEARING;
PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 11 SIGNS IN
SPECIAL CASES; PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT TO
SECTION 20 PERTAINING TO THE COMPOSITION,
DETERMINATION OF JURISDICTION, MEETINGS AND
PROCEDURES, AND POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE
PLANNING BOARD; AMENDING THE DESIGN REVIEW
BOARD'S DESIGN REVIEW PROCEDURES BY ELIMINATING
THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN REVIEW AND THE 10 DAY
WAITING PERIOD BETWEEN THE PUBLICATION OF THE
STAFF REPORT AND THE DESIGN . REVIEW BOARD
• MEETING; PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE
DESIGN REVIEW ) BOARD'S QUORUM REQUIREMENTS;
PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION WITHIN THE COMPREHENSIVE
ZONING ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR A REPEALER,
SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AND, WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly transmitted to the
City Commission pursuant to Section 17 Changes and Amendments, of Ordinance No. 1891.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that public hearing for the consideration of the
aforementioned proposed zoning ordinance amendment is hereby called to be held before the
City Commission at its Chambers on the Third Floor of City Hall, 1700 Convention Center
Drive, Miami Beach, Florida on July 9, 1986 at 3:00 P.M. and the City
Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish a notice an;a _newspaper'. of general
circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time andplace all interested parties
will be heard. - -
