A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA SUPPORTING LINCOLN ROAD AREA APPEARANCE MONTH.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
THAT,
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has made a commitment to revitalize the
central commercial district known as Lincoln Road; and
WHEREAS, an essential element of revitalization is the improvement of the
overall appearance of all Lincoln Road properties and public areas as to create a positive
image to the public, to prospective businesses and developers; and
WHEREAS, the Lincoln Road Management Program and volunteers wish to
conduct a month-long campaign during August, 1986, to be designated as the Lincoln Road
Area Appearance Month; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Commission of the City of
Miami Beach hereby recognizes and applauds the efforts of the Lincoln Road Management
Program and volunteers to designate August, 1986,as Lincoln Road Area Appearance Month and to
further designate September 6th and 7th, 1986 as special days for the culmination of this program
with special efforts in that realm and official recognition to those who will have contributed
to its success; and be it further resolved that the City of Miami Beach support the effort with
appropriate resources as deemed necessary by the City Manager.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of July 1986.
