RESOLUTION NO. 86-18631
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO (A) AMEND
THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT)
CHANGING THE LAND USE CLASSIFICATION FROM RESIDENTIAL
0-24 UNITS/ACRE TO RESIDENTIAL 25-60 UNITS/ACRE; AND, (B)
TO CHANGE THE ZONING DISTRICT FROM RM-14 MULTIPLE
FAMILY LOW DENSITY TO RM-60 MULTIPLE FAMILY MEDIUM
DENSITY DISTRICT FOR THAT AREA BETWEEN 76TH STREET
AND 79TH STREET AND BETWEEN COLLINS AVENUE AND
HARDING COURT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT,
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, Florida held a public
hearing on September 23, 1986 and recommended that the City Commission approve an
amendment to the City's Comprehensive Plan and to Zoning Ordinance No. 1891; and
WHEREAS, State Statute requires that the City Commission hold a public
hearing to consider comments from the public; and
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly transmitted to the
_ City Commission pursuant to Section 17, Changes and Amendments of Zoning Ordinance No.
1891.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing for consideration of the
aforementioned proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan is
hereby called to be held before the City Commission in its chambers on the Third Floor of
City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
on the 19th day of November, 1986, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish appropriate Public Notice of said Public Hearing to be published in a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all interested
parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of October 1986.
