WHEREAS in order to in sta ll this eq u ip m ent on the C ity's tenn is court s, cab ling and

WHEREAS, E ne rf un d , LL C has off e red to do nate $7,38 3.21 to cover the cost of the
ca b lin g , a n d th e C ity ha s identifi e d fun d s to cover the additiona l electrical costs, in the
a p p ro xim a te a m ou nt of $4,20 0 .00 ; an d
WHEREAS, the C ity w ill be en te rin g into a do nation agreem ent w ith Enerf und , LLC to
fo rm a liz e a ll th e te rm s of the dona tion ; an d
W H E R E A S , upon acceptance of the donation and the execution of the donation
agreement, the City will then enter into an agreement with PlaySight to transfer ownership of the
system from Enerfund, LLC to the City; and
WHEREAS, once the transfer process is complete, the City's Parks and Recreation
Department ("Department") will take the lead in the management of this project and ensure all IT
requirements are met; and
WHEREAS, although the equipment and software will be owned by the City, the Miami
Beach Tennis Center Contractor, Van Daalen Tennis, LLC., will have access to utilize the
equipment and software during the life of the contract; and
WHEREAS, the Department has also confirmed that the footage captured by the
system is saved in cloud storage on the PlaySight server and can be accessed for the life of the
contract; and
WHEREAS, if the Department would like to keep the software past the 3-year initial
term, the extended service would cost $6,000.00 annually; and
WHEREAS, the Department also has the option of replacing the cameras with the
most updated version for a one-time fee of $18,000.000, which includes the software service for
another three (3) years; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends that the Mayor and City Commission
approve and authorize the City Manager to accept this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby approve and authorize the City Manager to accept a donation from Mike
Zoi, through his company, Enerfund, LLC (Donor), of a PlaySight camera equipment, with
software maintenance for three (3) years, in the amount of $18,000.00, and a portion of the
installation costs, in the amount of $7,383.21, for a total donation value of $25,383.21, to be
used for player analysis at designated tennis courts of the Miami Beach Tennis Center; said
donation being subject to the City Manager successfully negotiating an agreement with
PlaySight to transfer ownership of the system from the Donor to the City.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORI DA, APPROVI NG AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT A DONATION FROM MR. MIKE 201, OF A
PLAYSIGHT CAMERA EQUIPMENT, WITH SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE
FOR THREE (3) YEARS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,000.00, AND A PORTION
OF THE INSTALLATION COSTS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,383.21, FOR A
TOTAL DONATION VALUE OF $25,383.21, TO BE USED FOR PLAYER
ANALYSIS AT DESIGNATED TENNIS COURTS OF THE MIAMI BEACH
TENNIS CENTER; SAID DONATION BEING SUBJECT TO THE PARKS
AND RECREATION DIRECTOR SUCCESSFULLY NEGOTIATING AN
AGREEMENT WITH PLAYSIGHT TO TRANSFER OWNERSHIP OF THE
SYSTEM FROM THE DONOR TO THE CITY.
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
A parent from the Miami Beach Tennis Center Academy, Mr. Mike Zoi, would like to donate a
Playsight Camera System and Software ("Playsight) to the City to be utilized at the Miami
Beach Tennis Center. Playsight is a tennis analysis video system, in which the camera is setup
in areas around the tennis courts to analyze the player's form, swing, serve, etc. The software
service would cover (3) three years from the moment it goes live.
ANALY SIS
Mr. Zoi has filed into agreement with Enerfund LLC for the Playsight Smart Court System. He
has purchased the system and software and is awaiting the City's approval to officially turnover
the equipment for use. The Playsight Camera System and Software equals a value of
$18,000.00.
In order to install this equipment on the City's tennis courts, cabling and electrical work needs to
be completed. Mr. Zoi has offered to donate $7,383.21 to cover the costs of the cabling. The
City has identified funds to cover the cost of electrical for the estimated amount of $4,200.00.
The City will be entering into a donation agreement with Mr. Zoi to formalize all the terms of the
donation. Upon acceptance of the donation and the execution of the donation agreement, the
City will then enter into an agreement with Playsight to transfer ownership of the system from Mr.
Zoi to the City. Once this process is complete and the check for the cabling from Mr. Zoi has

cleare d in the bank, the Parks and Recreation Department will take the lead on managing this
project and ensure all IT requirements are met. Although the equipment and software will be
owned by the City, the Miami Beach Tennis Center Contractor, Van Daalen Tennis, LLC., will
have access to utilize the equipment and software during the life of their agreement.
The Parks and Recreation Department has also confinned that the footage captured by the

contract. This meets the Public Record law requirements.
Moving forward, if the Parks and Recreation Department would like to keep the service the
software provides past the 3-year initial tenn, it would be a total cost of $6,000.00 annually. The
Department also has the option of replacing the cameras with the newest ones available for a
one-time fee of $18,000.000 wich includes service for another 3 years.
