63RD STREET FL YOVER AT INDIAN CREEK DRIVE
Pursuant to the April 28, 1999 request of the City Commission, for the Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) to provide locations of intersections with triple left turn lanes, to install
separator poles at the flyover approach lanes and to modify the signal timing at this intersection, the
FDOT submitted the attached letter listing six (6) locations in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
If additional information of the FDOT is required, please advise me.

RE: 63rd Street Flyover/Indian Creek Drive Intersection
Dear Mr. Rodriguez:
This is in response to your letter dated May 3, 1999, regarding the subject
intersection. As per the City Commission's request, the following is a list
of existing signalized intersections with triple left turning lanes:
Miami-Dade County:
1) US-1 and SR-878/Snapper Creek Expressway (see enclosed photographs) ;
2) Wd 72nd Avenue and ~~d 12 Street (see enclosed photographs); and
3) Indian Creek Drive and Abbott Avenue.
Broward County:
1) Turnpike Exit/Entrance and Commercial Boulevard;
2) US-1 and Sunrise Boulefard; and
3) Flaming Road and ~w 13~ Avenue/Panther Parkway.

In addition, we are evaluating the other two Commission requests; namely,
the provision of. flexible separator poles, and the optimization of the
. traffic signal. We anticipate completing our evaluation, and providing you
-with a response within two weeks.
