on back to back Sundays!
The shortest month of the year is long on FUN at the Parks & Recreation Department. The
Mayor and the Members of the City Commission are cordially invited to participate in the
following events.
February's Free Funday will celebrate the opening of our beautiful, new Scott Rakow
Youth Center Ice Rink. Admission fees (including skate rentals) will be waived for Miami
Beach residents from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2004.
Free Fundays encourages visitation of featured Parks & Recreation facilities by
waiving entrance fees for City of Miami Beach residents at selected facilities on the
first Sunday of each month from through June, 2004.
The Youth Sports Expo will kickoff the Spring 2004 athletic league season Sunday
February 8, 2004 at Flamingo Park Soccer Field. Parents and kids will sign up for
T-Ball and Coach Pitch, Traveling Baseball & Soccer Time. The event runs from 1:00
p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and also features refreshments, entertainment and games from every
member of the family.
Please join us at these fun filled activities offered by your
Parks & Recreation Department.

Catch the fun at the Youth Sports Expo
Sunday, February 8, 2004
Bring your family and join the Miami Beach Parks & Recreation Department as we kick-off
the Winter/Spring 2004 Youth Sports Season with free games (moonwalk, slides, rock
climbing...) music, rides, food and lots of fun. Registration will open for our 2004 Youth
Sports Programs to include: T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Tntramural and Traveling Baseball. Soccer
clinics and 5 on 5 Boys & Girls Basketball will also be offered.
This 9t~ year bi-annual event will be held on Sunday, Februa~/8, 2004 from 1-4 p.m. at
Flamingo Park, 14~n Street and Meridian Avenue.
