The Panel’s purpose is to study and make recommendations as to how to improve the experience for residents and visitors in the Art Deco Cultural District. Agenda Item II – Panel Discussion of Workshop on Urban Design, Open Space, Mobility and Transit Facilitator Questions 1) Bernard reminded us of the rich, complex, and cyclical nature of MB's history. Are there lessons for us to learn from that history as we make plans for the future? (slides 19 and 23 of 104). How does that history inform the future, if at all? 2) Vision and character for the future? (slides 28-34). Big Picture. Are these the issues? 3) What is your reaction to the Zyscovich team's vision for Lummus? Expansion plans? Activation orientation? Concerns? (slides 36-59) 4) What is your view on congestion pricing strategies? Applicability in MB? Protection of resident access? Welcome of visitors/customers/concert and museum goers? Issues and concerns? 5) What is your reaction to the Zyscovich team's vision for Ocean Drive, recognizing some structural flexibility will be necessary (bollards, etc.)? Primarily pedestrian/non motorized? Or meaningful motorized vehicular traffic? (slides 63-72) 6) What is your reaction to the Zyscovich team's vision for Collins Avenue as a shared transit street?
