This year's theme for Parks and Recreation Month is "Our Park and Recreation Story", and we want to help create a new story of how communities are stronger, more vibrant and more resilient because of parks and recreation. Event: Toddler Splash Bash Date: July 9, 2021 Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Location: Flamingo Park Pool (12th Street and Michigan Avenue) Cost: Free Parents and children under 4 are invited to join us for a morning of summer pool fun with music, games, refreshments and more! Event: Date: Time: Location: Play at the Park Series - Fantasy Theater Factory presents "Cinderella, A Fractured Fairytale" July 11, 2021 (NIP) & July 18, 2021 {Pride Park) 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm Normandy Isle Park (7030Trouville Esplanade), Pride Park (1809 Meridian Avenue) Get ready for the most unique version of Cinderella yet. Take the classic story of Cinderella, mix in elements of comedy, slaps tick, music, acrobatics, magic and even British Pantomime, and you've got a new version of an old story that will leave audiences begging for more! Fantasy Theater Factory's "Cinderella, A Fractured Fairy Tale" is a hilarious deconstruction of one of our most well-known fairy tales. In true form for a fractured fairy tale, this Cinderella tale turns many aspects of this beloved story on its head to hilarious and though t-provoking effect. Tickets on sale beginning June 28 at register.miamibeachparks.com. Event: Date: Time: Location: 2021 National Clay Courts Championships - Boys 14 July 11 - 18, 2021 8:00 am - 8:00 pm Flamingo Park Tennis Center (1200 Meridian Avenue), Miami Beach Tennis Center (501 72 Street) The City of Miami Beach will be hosting the 2021 National Clay Court Championships - Boys 14. Over 200 players from 50 states will be attending for single's play along with 92 doubles teams. Former players include Andy Roddick, Jim Courier, John Isner and DocuSign Envelope ID: C899D9E3-DEFC-4B98-BF90-ECCA5B2367AB Page 2 of 2 the Bryan Brothers. The tournament will be taking place at the Flamingo Park and Miami Beach Tennis Centers. The Finals are set to take place at the Flamingo Park Tennis Center. This is the first major tennis tournament the City has hosted at the Tennis Centers since the 2019 ITF World Tennis Championships. Event: Celebrate Our Families Festival Date: July 24, 2021 Time: 11:00 am - 4:00 pm Location: North Shore Park (501 72 Street) Cost: Free Fantasy Theatre Factory invites you to Celebrate Our Families! Join us for a live, in-person dance & karaoke party featuring face painting, dancing, arts and crafts, stilt walkers, balloon art, and more! Fun for the entire family! Don't miss out on our new trivia game show, "Eco- Challenge," an environmental learning show for kids of all ages. This day of fun celebrates our diverse South Florida families of every kind and background, including our LGBTQ families, and best of all, it's all FREE! Show will be aired at a later date in August on MBTV. Enjoy performances of the many talented children who attend our 2021 summer day camps and watch them dance and sing to musical genres from the 50's and beyond.
