Resiliency Code
CC meeting -June 2021
Objectives for today
•Introduce the project to the Commission
•Introduce the team
•Schedule follow -up meetings to receive input
2
Why?
Because of the recognition of a real problem:
The Climate Crisis.
The effects of climate change have impacts on zoning and the economy.
Regulations need to be adapted to allow buildings to respond to the effects of
climate change and sea level rise in a manner that does not detract from the
pedestrian environment.
Streamlining of the development review processes will allow both residents and
developers to have a clear and transparent understanding of applicable
regulations.
+ the code is due for an update…
