HISPANIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE MOTION
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to notify the Mayor and City
Commission of a motion made and passed by the Hispanic Affairs Committee
during the August 19, 2021 Special Board Meeting.
Members Present: Chair Gabriel Paez, Vice Chair Grace Calvani, Rosary Plana
Falero, Liliana Martinez and Carmen Datorre
Members Absent: Angel Triana and Allyson Fonte
Staff Present: Leonor Hernandez, Committee Liaison
MOTION: The Hispanic Affairs Committee of the City of Miami Beach motioned
to lend its name to The Rhythm Foundation and to join forces without
commitment of funds for The Nuestro Fest, Hispanic Heritage Celebration, Latinx
Pop Culture Hispanic Heritage ln-Person Festival & Live Stream Broadcast,
Saturday, October 2, 2021. (See attached).
