two (2) motions made during the September 21, 2021 Black Affairs Advisory Committee
("BAAC") meeting:
Motion #1: The Black Affairs Advisory Committee concurs with Alfredo Ramirez,
Director of Miami-Dade Police Department, that strategic enforcement, increased
prosecutions, high visibility and community dialogue will help deter/reduce crime in the

additional community distrust and historically target minorities and people of color.

Motion was passed unanimously.
Motion #2: The Black Affairs Advisory Committee recommends the support of the
Miami Center for Racial Justice "#It Starts with Me Miami" proactive and intentional
community and Police engagement and law enforcement recruitment program. The free
and open to the public forums and workshops will take place at FMU on September 23
and 30, 2021.
Motion made by Diane Connolly Graham. Motion seconded by Valerie
Crawford. Motion was passed unanimously.
Members present for both motions: Glendon Hall, Gregory Branch, Bibi Andrade,
