Dear Commissioner Samuelian,
As you know, The Rhythm Foundation is a Miami Beach -based award-winning non-profit
organization founded in 1988. Since 2015, Rhythm Foundation has managed the North Beach
Bandshell for the City of Miami Beach, transforming the historic oceanfront venue into a true
community anchor. Our Mission is to create shared cultural experiences that build and
strengthen the diverse communities of South Florida through the presentation of live
music. We bring great music, arts, and culture to our year-round cultural programs, civic
engagements, free community events, and much more.
We Believe that international cultural exchange injects empathy and positivity into the global
conversation; cultural activity develops community and builds neighborhoods; sustainable
practices are possible in event productions; Miami Beach is a global city, and our artists and
audience are world-class.
This November 11, 2021 we will host The Rhythm Foundation's first-ever gala at the North Beach
Bandshell. We will celebrate the 60th anniversary of our beautiful home venue, and the historical
designation of this incredible outdoor venue. The evening will transform the Bandshell with
immersive dream visuals and magical sounds. This gala fundraiser will support The Rhythm
Foundation's year-round cultural programs.
We are writing to request your support for our gala fundraiser by sponsoring a Commission item to
have the City donate a round of golf for four for each of the City of Miami Beach golf courses:
Normandy Golf Course and Miami Beach Golf Course. The foursomes will be auctioned off during
our silent auction as part of the gala festivities to support community events in Miami Beach.
Thank you for your consideration,
Sincerely,
John Elizabeth Aleman
Board Member, The Rhythm Foundation
