SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2022-015- WG,
for Investigation, Background, Adjusting and Surveillance of Selected Tort Liability Claims,
Workers' Compensation Claims, and Other Employment Related Matters
The purpose of this L TC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2022-015-WG, which seeks statements of qualifications from licensed,
experienced investigative firms. The services are required to assist the City in processing liability and
workers' compensation claims, and other employment-related matters.
Proposals pursuant to the RFQ were received on November 29, 2021. The responsive proposals will
be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established in the RFQ.
I have appointed the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Robert Aragon, Claims Coordinator, Human Resources Department;
• Manny Marquez, Assistant Director, Finance Department;
• Elizabeth Miro, Assistant Director, Facilities/Fleet Maintenance Department;
• Steven Rothstein, Deputy City Attorney, City Attorney's Office; and
• Maria Toca, Employee Relations Manager, Human Resources Department.
I have also appointed the following individuals as alternates:
• Sonia Bridges, Division Director, Risk Management, Human Resources Department; and
• Thomas Curitore, Code Compliance Assistant Director.
