SUBJECT : Homeless Point in Time Census-January 27 , 2022
The purpose of this Letter To Commission is to advise that the City 's Homeless Outreach Office
will be participating in the countywide Point in Time Census managed by the Miami-Dade County
Homeless Trust on January 27-28, 2022.
The bi-annual census is the physical count of the homeless on City streets between 10 pm on
Thursday, January 27 , and 6 am on Friday, January 28 , 2022 .
The Homeless Outreach Office will close at noon on Thursday, January 27 , and remain closed
Friday , January 28 , 2022 , to enable staff participation in the census. Due to the cold weather
forecast , the homeless outreach office will open on Saturday, January 22, and Sunday, January
23 , to provide emergency cold weather shelter services .
Miami Beach Pol ice officers can make direct shelter placements when the homeless office is not
open .
