On January 16, 2004, the City issued a Request for Proposals No. 16-03/04, for the Purchase and Implementation of an Enterprise Financial and Administrative System investment. This new system will address the management of financial, payroll and relative "core" functions as well as utility billing, permits, tax special assessments and service requests in a highly integrated system. The proposals were received on February 19, 2004. I am considering the appointment of the following individuals to serve on the Committee and Georgina Echert as Chairperson relative to the above subject RFP: 1. Jeryl (Deede) Weithorn, Budget Advisory Committee, Independent CPA 2. Larry Herrup, Resident, former BAC Chairperson and Independent CPA 3. Alex Mendez, CFO, Mount Sinai 4. Grace Cespedes, CPA, Deputy Finance Director Miami-Dade County 5. Georgina Echert, Evaluation Committee Chairperson, Assistant Director Finance, CMB 6. Kay Randall, Director Information Technology, CMB 7. Jim Sutter, CPA, Director Internal Auditing, CMB 8. Martha Dempsey, Special Assistant to the City Manager, CMB 9. Jill Weiss, F.I.U. School of Computer Science Instructor 10. Tim Hemstreet, Director Capital Improvement Projects, CMB The selection of this group was based on their technical and financial knowledge and involvement with the City's current needs, policies and procedures.
