SUBJECT: Upcoming April and May 2022 Miami Beach Special Events
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission is to provide an update to the Mayor and
City Commission an update on upcoming large-scale special events. We continue to be
a leading destination attracting marquis annual events, in April and May we welcome
two new events, Bitcoin and FTX Formula Grand Prix to our city. The schedule of
upcoming events is outlined below:
Event: Bitcoin 2022
Date: April 6-9, 2022
Time: 9am to 5pm and
Location: Miami Beach Convention Center and Pride Park
Bitcoin 2022 the largest internationally recognized cryptocurrency conference. The four-
day event will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center starting Wednesday,
April 6th with leading industry panel discussions and ending on Sunday, April 9th with
music and comedic performances.

Miami Beach Gay Pride 2022
April 9-10, 2022
Location: 10th through 13th Streets on Lummus Park
Miami Beach Pride is a multi-day celebration of LGBTQ+ including a two-day festival
and parade along Ocean Drive, featuring special events, family-friendly community
activations, social mixers and world-class entertainment.

FTX Grand Prix Festival
May 6-9, 2022

Location: 6th through 8th Streets on Lummus Park, Miami Beach
This weekend, Greater Miami welcomes thousands of racing fans from around the world
for the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. The FTX Grand Prix Festival will take place on

Lummus Park featuring several activations for fans to experience motorsport, the cars
and engines and will include luxury brands including Mercedes, IWC and Puma. The
event is free and open to the public between noon -6:00 p.m., followed by ticketed
evening events.
Event: Hyundai Air & Sea Show
Date: May 28-29, 2022
Time: 11 :00 AM -5:00 PM
Location: 11th through 14th Streets, beachfront, Lummus Park, Miami Beach
The Hyundai Air & Sea Show showcases our country's state-of-the-art military
technology through multiple dynamic air and sea events, interactive displays along
Ocean Drive. Event attendees will have the incredible opportunity of setting their eyes
skyward to view state-of-the-art military air assets, as well as view powerboat
demonstrations, extreme water sports, an Action/Military Zone featuring Monster
Energy, Military recruiting exhibits and more, all along the beautiful beachfront of Miami
Beach, Florida. There is no shortage of engaging activities for fans. The family-friendly
event has something for everyone.
The above-mentioned events solidify that the Miami Beach brand continues to be strong
and relevant in engaging regional and international visitors.
