A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,REAFFIRMING
THE CITY'S COMMITMENT TO ENSURING THAT AS THE
CITY RENOVATES AND BEAUTIFIES ITS PUBLIC PARKS,
THE PARKS WILL RETAIN THEIR FAMILY-FRIENDLY
FEATURES, SUCH AS OFFERING AND MAINTAINING
BBQ GRILLS FOR USE BY PARK VISITORS, ESPECIALLY
IN PARKS WHERE THERE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BBQ
GRILLS.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is known for its beautiful parks; and
WHEREAS, residents and visitors alike use the City's parks for recreational
activities such as walking, jogging, walking with their pets, working out, and picnicking;
and
WHEREAS, BBQ grills are a popular feature in City's parks, allowing families who
may not otherwise have access to a BBQ grill at their residence to use the public BBQ
grills for their enjoyment, ranging from casual weekend grilling to birthdays and
celebrations; and
WHEREAS, as the City renovates and beautifies its public parks, it is vital for the
current BBQ grills in City parks to be replaced with new grills to ensure that families will
continue to have access to good quality BBQ grills.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby reaffirm the city's commitment to ensuring that as the City renovates
and beautifies its public parks, the parks will retain their family-friendly features, such as
offering and maintaining BBQ grills for use by park visitors, especially in parks where
there have always been BBQ grills. /�
